Happy Fourth
Hope you all enjoyed the day off. It was a fairly relaxed day for us. I attempted to tire out Naomi by taking her out to the playground *twice* during the day. This backfired in that not only did she not sleep early, she ended up being very grumpy and unfriendly when we went over to Annie and Andrew's BBQ. It took her a while to warm up, and when she finally did get a little better, it was time for fireworks, and her nerves got all shot. She was startled by all of the bright lights and loud booms. In contrast, Kira took it all in (but she was exhausted from it being *way* past her bedtime). We would have left earlier but we were blocked in by other people setting off fireworks on the street. Fireworks have been banned in Fremont for so long its strange for me to see people all gathering on their streets to light fireworks, coming out of their houses and being able to say hi and greet your neighbors. I suppose this is one of the rare times that people can do so in a surburban environment.
On a different note, the host of the party put up some very interesting information about this holiday which celebrates the birth of the nation here. I didn't know what the Founding Fathers endured (and risked) when they signed onto the Declaration of Independence. Very eye-opening.

refresh
So I decided to take a mini-break from this blogging thing and I told myself I'd start new with the new month of July. I probably should have told you readers this, but if people have stopped reading because I stopped posting, not much I can do about that. If anything, maybe I can feel less paranoid about the fact that I tend to forget and leave what people consider sensitive information in here.
Just saw this yesterday. This sucks because the whole foundation of Craigslist is trust, and all it takes is a bad apple/idiot like this, and people will get scared and shy away from using Craigslist. Because you know some other idiot will catch wind of this and say, "Hey, this is a good idea" and start trying to rip other people off. Personally, I prefer Craigslist for any of my online purchases *not* from an actual company. I've always liked it more than EBay, because the local nature of it allows me to check the product itself. Now I'm scared to sell anything that I can't take to a neutral location. Idiot.
